Francesco Andreozzi at Bagni di Lucca

Francesco Andreozzi, another painter exhibiting at the Sala Rosa of Bagni di Lucca’s Circolo dei Forestieri, was born in S Maria Albiano (Camaiore) in 1963 and now lives in the hills between Camaiore and Lucca.

His paintings are full of the particular feel of the Versiliana landscape and his vision of nature emphasises its innate geometry and uncovers intuitive patterns in just a blade of grass or the splendour of a wild flower or the ambiguous border between land and sea.

It seems to me that Andreozzi has touched that mysterious boundary between naturalism and structure, between the unfolding of nature and mathematical analysis.

It’s well worth visiting these creations of a painter of undoubted originality at the Sala Rosa.
